The name Poysdorfer Saurüssel has its origin in Saurüssln, which lies between Poysdorf and Walterskirchen.
The light, fresh and fruity Green Veltliner Poysdorfer Pig Snout has been around since 1959 as one of the first wine labels of Austria - The Legend lives!
In 2010, 15 winegrowers came together to market the Poysdorfer Saurüssel. Only winegrowers from Poysdorf and the Katastral area may co-operate and produce the Poysdorfer Saurüssel to defined quality standards. The Poysdorfer Saurüssel is a dry, light, fresh and fruity wine of certified origin with max. 11.5% alcohol by volume.
As the original in the 1950s, Poysdorfer Saurüssel is still today a light, fresh and fruity Green Veltliner..
Foundation of the Poysdorfer Saurüssel Association. The rustic illustration on the label represents the wine label from yester year. The packaging designer has created a refreshing, contemporary and humorous concept and layout.
Marketing rights acquired through Poysdorf Municipality.
